Wounded Deer Found in Yard

As reported in the Sentinel, a Granville resident woke up this morning to find a wounded deer in her yard with an arrow sticking out of its backside.  Apparently, this deer was a victim of a local bowhunter from one of the neighboring properties.

Bowhunting within the village to control the deer population has been a lightening-rod issue lately.  It will be interesting to see what the community reaction is to this event.  Responses to the article on the Sentinel website are already mentioning similar incidents experienced by other Granvillians.

Anti-War Protestors on the Corner of Main and Broadway

I found this video of a very right wing commentator with a video camera confronting the anti-war protestors (referred to as “communists”) that regularly meet on the corner of Broadway and Main in Granville, Ohio. Unfortunately, all you really get to hear is his voice, which is the way these things usually go. There is a lot of talk of Mogadishu and the U.S.S. Cole. Funny, I thought the U.S. went into Iraq because of the WMDs.
