Wounded Deer Found in Yard
January 16th, 2008 Posted in Discussion, General InformationAs reported in the Sentinel, a Granville resident woke up this morning to find a wounded deer in her yard with an arrow sticking out of its backside. Apparently, this deer was a victim of a local bowhunter from one of the neighboring properties.
Bowhunting within the village to control the deer population has been a lightening-rod issue lately. It will be interesting to see what the community reaction is to this event. Responses to the article on the Sentinel website are already mentioning similar incidents experienced by other Granvillians.
