Del Mar Restaurant & Lounge Business Description: In the old Granvilla Pizza location, Del Mar certainly is a step up. They offer an interesting variety of dishes, from Joe's Special (San Francisco hot plate with eggs, ground beef, onions, etc.) to the Wednesday special "Beef on Weck," an authentic Buffalo-style thin sliced beef sandwich on a Weck roll (salty with caraway seeds)-- served with horseradish.
Del Mar serves food until Midnight Sunday through Thursday and 1AM on Friday & Saturday; the bar is open until 2:30AM everyday.

I have eaten at the Del Mar at least 30 times since I moved to Ohio. I love this place. I don't know what the last person is talking about. I have been to the best restaurants in New York and I know my food. I am an excellent cook as well.
Del Mar’s food is always fresh and top quality. The bar is fun and the drinks are great.
I guess every restaurant can have a bad night but I am going back for more tonight :)

This was the worst meal I have eaten in a long time. My husband and I went on a Saturday night for an impromtu anniversary dinner. There was no wait for a table at 7:00 on a Saturday-this should have been a warning sign.
Our calamari was so undercooked, it wasn't even browned or even tan, just greasy! I got the traditional Italian Lasagna- it was horrible. My husband also tasted it and found it to be inedible. There were large hunks of sausage and it dripped of grease.
The service was horrible. After removing the lasagna no on apologized or even asked if I'd like to try something else until my husband had finished his meal, at which point, I was very hungry so I ordered the Margharita pizza. This was barely edible. They had cut Roma tomatos in half and put a few on the pizza. There was no crust in the center and despite no toppings but cheese, I couldn't pick up a slice. I asked several times for water. The server never checked to see if we would like more wine or beer. The host at the head of house was supposedly the manager and walked around swinging a dirty table rag.
The water even tasted funny-not filtered! Do not eat hrere! The decor is nice but the food and service has gone sharply down hill since they opened. The Granville Inn is close on price point and has excellent food and servcie. This is where we walked to for dessert and it was worth it!
Del Mar didn't check back or say a single thing just dropped off the check. They charged us for everything but the Lasagna.
These people need a makeover but we will never be back! I will be called the health department to please go check again.
I think they keep the light low so you can't see your food!

This place is great! My husband (who is a picky eater) and I have been here twice and are sure to return. The Caesar salad is for any salad afficionado....grilled romaine hearts topped with shaved parmesan and homemade croutons...delicious! The bar is well-stocked and menu creative, but things you've also heard of so good for many types of eaters.

Fodd and beer are good- concerned they continue to get bad inspection reports from the department of health- Salmonella anyone?

All I can say is... I love the Wednesday Special: Beef on Weck! It's not for everyone, but I sure like it.
Also, the Buffalo shrimp appetizer is pretty darn good as well.
